The team are to raising funds and communitty support for the work of East Belfast Community Counselling who are based at Bloomfield Avenue. East Belfast Community Counselling CIC was created in 2011 to fulfil a need in the community, providing a vitally needed service. They offer access to high quality counselling irrespective of the ability to pay. EBCC is a CIC which means they work for the benefit of the community and not private advantage. This is a much welcomed service in addition to a range of targetted community counselling services that operate in East Belfast.
Unfortunately we cannot comment further on the BBC news story which you may have seen yesterday regarding the Connswater Community Greenway project.
Belfast City Council is still involved in a legal process with the contractor and is not in a position to comment in detail with regard to the outcome of the independent conciliation report. We and Belfast City Council hope that there will be a speedy conclusion to enable the CCG to be completed as soon as possible.
Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time.
