EBP to manage preservation of George Best's family home

We can confirm that the childhood home of local football legend George Best has been sold to the East Belfast Partnership following a £100,000 investment from the Ulster Community Investment Trust (UCIT), ensuring that this iconic home will remain in the ownership of the community of east Belfast for the foreseeable future.

Newtownards Road Facade Improvement Launch: Fri 29 June

Newtownards Road Facade Improvement Launches Friday, 29 June at 10.30am

East Belfast Partnership's Newtownards Road 2012 Group identified a number of improvement projects for this key arterial route in East Belfast. One action was to improve the appearance of derelict shop units on the road by painting the buildings and installing virtual shop designs & other images onto the facades.

Olympic Torch coming to Belfast...

The torch will arrive in Belfast, from the Isle of Man, late on the evening of Saturday 2 June. The next morning it will leave the new Titanic Belfast building at just after 6am, from where it will tour North Down and Ards, arriving back in Belfast for stops at Stormont and the Zoo. From there, it will head up the coast to Portrush and, over the next couple of days, the torch will make its way around Northern Ireland, as well as heading over the border to Dublin.
